Then select the length you want for your hosting. I would highly recommend you to go for 12 months at least. Because monthly plans are costly, you also get a free domain with the annual plan. So that’s an add-on. Also, add your SSL if you did not go with the ultimate plan.

So I’m not going to show you all of the registration procedures here. Once you have paid for the service, you will redirect to the other page. Click the manual WordPress setup tab. So it will take you to the next step, where you will have to enter your username and password, which you will use to log into your WordPress admin area.

The next step is to select the location for your website. You can choose a server anywhere located in the world. After that setup process will start and again take a few minutes. Meanwhile, you can also read all the features they are offering that Godaddy.

After the setup process is complete, you can visit your website, or there’s an option to explore the dashboard instead.

Install WordPress On Hosting Service

cPannel is the popular software used by most hosting companies. It provides better manageability of hosting accounts for owners using a simple web-based interface. There are several auto-installers you can find on the market.

  • Softaculous,
  • Generally,
  • Quick install and
  • Fantastico

are the most popular options. Here I will show you using Softaculous, which installs WordPress using an auto-installer.

Install WordPress Using Softaculous:

Companies like Contabo and Hostgator typically use Softaculous in their cPanel. Let’s log in to your cPanel and look for the WordPress installer icon. You can find it under “auto-installer” or under Softaculous.

Click on the WordPress icon, and it will launch WordPress for you. Then you’ll see a blue button that says “install.” Click on the install tab to continue.

In choose Protocol section, select http:// or http://www. If you have SSL then you can select https:// or https://www.

Next, you choose a domain name that you bought before. That is where you want to install WordPress. Then leave the directory field empty. Also, in site settings, your site name and site description too.

The following section is the Admin Username. Again, you want to make sure you don’t leave this as admin. Because that is also a security issue and makes it easier for other people to hack into your site, and for passwords, you should also use a strong password. Add email, which can be changed later also. Choose your language. Select plugins you want. Then we scroll down, and you will see a limit logging attempts option. If you don’t click on that, it will be very easy for them when somebody uses software to hack into your site.

But with limit Loggins, what will happen is that each user will get a limit of three logging attempts and this is an excellent method for securing your WordPress blog.

After where it says “database name,” We suggest you add just a couple of random letters there instead of the given database name WP. What that does is make it a little harder for hackers to hack our site in the future. This is because WordPress stores its information in a database. Same thing with the Table Prefix too.

Once you’ve done that, go down and click the install button. Then, wait a few seconds for your fresh WordPress copy to be installed.
